BBADGAUN, Jan 23: Scuffle and vandalism occurred at the Child Correction Centre in Madhyapur Thimi municipality -2, Sanothimi, on Thursday night.
The scuffle between the two groups in the correction centre turned to an incident of vandalism and arson.
A team headed by Chief of Thimi Police Circuit Nawaraj Dhungana reached the child correction centre following the scuffle and attempted to bring the situation under control.

Both groups that were involved in the scuffle had pelted stones at the police personnel mobilized in the incident site.
As many as 50 Armed Police Force personnel were mobilized when the situation went out of control. The fire engines of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu had doused the fire at midnight.
Details of loss incurred at the centre due to arson and vandalism are yet to be ascertained, the police circuit said.
The correction centre has a total of 169 inmates, including 145 men and 24 women.
Though the situation now has come under control, a large number of security personnel are keeping vigil at the centre.
