KATHMANDU, Jan 26: The Nepali Congress (NC) has begun preparing a draft of its election manifesto based on suggestions received from constituencies and consultations with experts. The party is preparing to present itself as a driving force of change through the manifesto.
Party president Gagan Thapa left for his constituency Sarlahi–4 on Sunday (January 25), from where he is contesting the election. After returning from Sarlahi, work will move forward to finalise the manifesto draft, according to Thapa’s expert adviser Pratap Poudel.

Thapa will return to Kathmandu after holding preliminary discussions with voters in his constituency. He has vacated Kathmandu–4 and is contesting from Sarlahi–4. Thapa’s team said he will also collect suggestions from voters of Sarlahi–4.
Following the constituency visit, he is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on January 30.
