At the outset, the closed-door session will approve the procedures prepared for the Special General Convention.
Acharya said that nine different groups will be formed for intensive discussions on policy, rules, statutes, political developments, and other issues during the convention.
The party’s senior-most member will preside over the closed-door session.
Earlier on Sunday, NC General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa said the special general convention was convened to address growing public disenchantment.
Addressing the inaugural session of the convention, which was called by supporters of the special general convention and held in the federal capital, Thapa said political parties must respond to public resentment expressed during the Gen Z movement last September.
