Gold, silver prices hit record high

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the price of hallmarked gold reached Rs 284,700 per tola today, up from Rs 282,000 per tola on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Prices of gold and silver in the local market continue to climb, hitting record levels. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmarked gold reached Rs 284,700 per tola today, up from Rs 282,000 per tola on Monday.



Similarly, silver prices have also risen, reaching Rs 5,880 per tola today, compared to Rs 5,810 per tola on the previous day, FENEGOSIDA reported.

These are the highest prices ever recorded for gold and silver in the domestic market.


According to international media reports, gold is trading at USD 4,690 per ounce in the international market today, while silver of the same quantity is priced at USD 94 per ounce.
